Welcome

As president, and on behalf of the more than 500 + members it is with great pleasure

that I welcome you to our website. The Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta

Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated chartered in 1924 is empowering women who lead

the community with excellence. We are the home of our Founder Madree Penn White,

Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the 21st President National President the

Honorable Marcia L. Fudge and the immediate National First Vice President Pamela E.

Smith and National Program, Planning and Development chair.

In 2024, our dedicated chapter will celebrate 100 years of serving Sisterhood,

Scholarship, Service and Social Action in the Greater Cleveland community. Our

programs are strategically aligned with the national priorities and initiatives of Delta

Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and reflect our organization’s Five-Point Programmatic

Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness

and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, 501c7 not-for-profit organization. Since its

founding in 1913, more than 350,000 women have joined the organization worldwide. 

Our organization is a sisterhood of college educated women and currently has over

1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan

(Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica,

West Africa, Southern African, United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea.
